Tiger seventh grade boys track team wins
own invite
    Monday the Tri-City Junior High track teams hosted a three-team invite with Springfield
Christian and Little Flower.
    For the seventh grade boys, who finished first with 150 points (SC with 144 and LF with 52),
Trever Martin won both the 100 and 200, setting a new school record in the latter. He also set a
new school record while winning the high jump.
    Danny Noble placed second in the hurdles, the high jump and 400, while Braden Summer
finished fifth in the hurdles.
    Nathan Highley was fourth in the 100, and he won the long jump.
    Dewie Gordon was second in both the 800 and 1600.
    The 800 relay foursome of Blake Badgley, Lee Lascody, Jacob Rogers and Summer was
second, while the 400 relay quartet of Chas Mosley, Steven Price, Gordon and Highley was first.
    Devon Matthews was first in the 400 and also in the discus.
    Matthews, Badgley, Price and Noble combined to win the 1600 relay.
    Mosley took second in the long jump.
    Gage Marinelli finished fourth in the shot put.
    For the eighth grade boys, whose 98 points was second behind SC’s 174, Michael Brincken
won the long jump and took second in the hurdles and shot.
    Chris Bierworth won the 100 and took third in the hurdles.
    Evan Stowers placed third in three events: 100, 200 and long jump.
    Adam Sagle won the discus with a new meet record, while taking third in the shot put and
fourth in the 400.
    Jacob Poorman was fourth in the 200 and Andy Goldstein matched that in the discus.
Martin, Brincken, Stowers and Bierworth set a new meet record in the 400 relay.
    For the eighth grade girls, who were third with 72 points, BreAnna Cravens finished third in
the 200 and hurdles and fourth in the long jump.
    Cravens was joined by Sarah Nutt, Megan Garrison and Libby Prehoda in the 800 relay,
where they finished second.
    Nutt was second in the 800 and 1600, while Bailey Matthews took second in the shot put and
third in the discus.
    Prehoda won the 400 and was third in the 100, while Garrison was fifth in the 100.
    The Lady Tiger seventh grade girls  totaled 80 points and finished third.
    Olivia Vetter set a new meet record while winning the long jump. She also was third in the
400 and fifth in the hurdles.
    Brooke Prehoda won the discus and took second in the shot put.
    Hailey Patrick took fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 400.
    Amber Ford was third in the long jump, while Amber Burkey finished fourth in the shot and
also in the 200.
    Vetter, Burkey, Ford and Patrick combined to take third in the 800.
    Amanda Garrison, Matthews, Brooke Prehoda and Kaylee Carey were second in the 400
relay, while Matthews, Garrison and Carey were joined by Ford and finished second in the 1600
relay.
