Spaulding June village board minutes
 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro-tem Ed Egnot.  One board member was absent.
 The minutes of the May meeting were waived.  
 The treasurer’s report was given and accepted by the board.
 Susan Jaynes from IML reported to the board that the building was underinsured but is now up-
to-date.
 The monthly stats for the Police department consist of: Traffic stops – 11; Citations – 6;
Warnings – 5; Assists – 7; and calls — 6.  The chief reported that all officers have successfully
completed the Spring Mandatory Firearms Training.  
There was discussion regarding the operation of the squad cars and the budget for the police
department.  A copy of the budget was distributed to all board members.          Schedule changes
were discussed and have been worked out.  The police department is working on conserving gas.
 Residents were present to discuss the drainage issue in the village.  A deadline of August was
set to complete certain jobs.  
 Amy Cunningham has contacted Bill Mitchell regarding the tornado siren issue in the village.
 Amy Cunningham and MaryAnn Burge have volunteered to be contact people in the Animal
Control department.
 The construction of the new Village Garage was discussed and voted to start the building as
soon as possible.
 Tiny Bikers, a business that was in the village, has discontinued its business.  The subject of the
Village purchasing the business was discussed, but nothing definite was decided on.
 The Burge’s Corner property is slowly taken care of and as a result, one board member asks
support in his pursuing this issue.  Board members responded positively to this action taking
place.
 The idea of increasing the fee for liquor license in the village was discussed but was not passed.
 A motion was made to adjourn the June meeting and second.  Motion carried, meeting
adjourned.
