Mechanicsburg Board minutes
Present: Albert Hohimer, Rodney Rogers, Ken Metcalf, Sue Tapscott, Shannon Tinkham and
Mayor Edwards.
Absent: Tony Shoaff, Georgia Aarup and Doug Payton.
-Ken Metcalf makes first motion to approve February meeting minutes with corrections. Rodney
Rogers makes second motion; all ayes.
-Albert Hohimer makes first motion to accept the treasurer’s report and bills. Rodney Rogers
makes second motion; all ayes.
-Stuart Conn is asking the board for a liquor license for the building to the right of the village hall
owned by Todd Byers. He would like to put in a restaurant. Mayor Edwards tables the matter until
Mr. Conn can provide to the board the exact hours the restaurant will be open.
-South Griffiths Creek Road: One 40 mph sign is gone, the other is lying on the ground. Mike
Trello will look into this matter to see who is responsible for the fixing the signs, the village or the
township.
-There are leaks in the lines between both bathrooms in the village hall. Two bids have been
received from plumbers. Ken Metcalf motions to repair and approve Beck Plumbers bid. Albert
Hohimer seconds the motion; all ayes.
-The 175th year signs have still not been put up by the county. The board members state to have
Mark Whalen install.
-Motor Fuel Tax: Albert Hohimer motions for the 2007 appropriation to pass the spending and to
open and close it. Rodney Rogers makes second motion; all ayes.
Ken Metcalf motions for the 2008 appropriation to pass the spending and to open and close it.

-Renewal of Liquor License for Tri-City Junction. The fee is $500. Ken Metcalf makes first motion

-Rodney Rogers is still working on getting a committee together for the Economic Development
Group.
