Tri-City Register
Krone named Tri-City/Illini Bank Student-
Athlete of the Month
Tri-City and Illini Bank are honoring Ellie Krone as Student/Athlete of the Month for the Month of
November.
Ellie is a junior at Tri-City who has a GPA of 3.536 on a 4.0 scale. She is also ranked 13th in her
class.
Ellie is a member of the FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America) and 4-H. Ellie is the
President of the Tri-City FFA Chapter, and she has represented Tri-City at the Illinois Farm Bureau
Youth Conference, State FFA Convention and the National FFA Convention.
Ellie is conducting a Supervised Agricultural Experience Program in the area of Forest
Management and Products with a Christmas Tree Enterprise.  She has been a member of
several competitive judging teams in Land Use, Livestock and Dairy Contests.
Last year Ellie was named the outstanding first-year member, as she won the Star Greenhand
Award.
Ellie also finds time to be a two-sport athlete. She is on the Mt. Pulaski/Tri-City soccer team.
This was her first year on the soccer team, but was a good asset on the varsity squad. She works
hard, is very dedicated and showed great improvement throughout the season.
Ellie is also a starter on the girls’ basketball team. She is in the top three in almost every
statistical category on the team. From rebounding to assists to points, she can do it all. She has a
beautiful looking shot and was the first high school girl to hit a 3-pointer in Tri-City’s history. She
is a leader who leads through her work ethic.
Ellie is a wonderful well-rounded student athlete and it will be exciting seeing how much she
accomplishes for the rest of her high school career.
Also a big thanks to the Mechanicsburg Illini Bank for making the Student/Athlete of the Month
possible.
The Mechanicsburg Illini Bank is donating a $50 savings bond to the Student/Athlete of the
Month every month.
