Clerk Pat Curry explained the new format for the bills’ printout. The new format was well
accepted by the board.
Joan Davis made a motion to accept the bills as written, with a second by Violet Blose. MC
Joan Davis asked that letters be sent to the property owners where two different vehicles have
been parked, without being driven, for an extended period of time, which is a violation of Village
Ordinances. She also asked that a letter be sent to the resident at 317 N. Ledlie for an
overgrowth of grass and weeds, which is also in violation of Village Ordinances. The clerk will
send the requested letters.
Attorney Steve Scott told the board he had spoken with the auditor, Ray Hickman, regarding the
report requested by the County for 2007. The report will be sent to Treasurer Lacy Michael to be
signed and returned. The County is supposed to send a form to Mr. Hickman that will enable
release of the monies due the Village.
Mr. Scott will send a letter to the residents at 320 N. Lewis, advising them to clean up the
weeds and trash accumulated on the property.
Mr. Worley presented the proposal for a remote deposit system from Illini Bank. The system
would allow the Treasurer to deposit checks using a scanner. The initial cost would be $150 for
the special scanner and $50 per month thereafter.
Treasurer Lacy Michael informed the board that she already did money transfers between
funds online.
After some discussion of the pros and cons of such a program, Joan Davis made a motion to
table the proposal for further study, with a second by Nancy Prytherch. MC
Mr. Worley called for a motion for adjournment. Nancy Prytherch made the motion to adjourn,
