There was a discovery recount done by Sangamon County Monday in the Tri-City Public Library ballot initiative. Four
people received the wrong ballot on election day, and because the race was only a few votes apart, a recount was
done. However, the vote count did not change, so the library district has been officially approved.

an honor roll student. Amanda is a member of Tri-City’s DUI Taskforce.
Amanda has played volleyball for two years and softball for all three years at Tri-City. Softball has been her life. She
has been on an ASA competitive team since she was 11. As a Tornado, she has been tremendous. Last year as a
sophomore, she was nominated to the MSM Second Team All Conference, and this year she has only improved.
She was nominated to the MSM Conference and the Sangamo Conference All Conference First Team. She led the
team in runs batted in and batting average as a batter. As a pitcher she was an even bigger attribute. She led the
team in innings pitched, strikeouts and wins.  Amanda is an amazing student athlete, and the Tri-City faithful are
excited to see what all she can accomplish.  Also a big thanks to the Mechanicsburg Illini Bank for making the
Student/Athlete of the Month possible. The Mechanicsburg Illini Bank is donating a $50 savings bond to the

RBI) all had two hits. Watkins scored four times. Edwards, Johnson, Norvell and Price (run) all chipped in hits. Sponsler went the distance, fanning 11 and walking
three in her eight-hitter. Only one of the Taylorville runs was earned.
