Buffalo Village Board November meeting minutes
The regular November meeting of the Village of Buffalo was called to order at 7 p.m. by Mayor Bill Vetter with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Members present were
Bill Vetter, Ryan Mendenhall, Pam Paul, Bob Thaxton, Dennis Page, Tom Paige, Phyllis Quick, clerk, Misty Burris, treasurer and Bruce Beeman, attorney.
READING OF MINUTES: D. Page made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected, seconded by T. Paige. Motion passed.
TREASURER'S REPORT: T. Paige made a motion to accept treasurer's report, seconded by Paul. Motion passed.
COMMUNICATIONS: A letter from Springfield-Sangamon Regional Planning Commission about transportation planning.
READING OF THE BILLS: Thaxton made a motion to approve the bills as presented, seconded by T. Paige. Roll call vote: Mendenhall — yea, Paul — yea, Thaxton — yea,
D. Page — yea, T. Paige — yea. Motion passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
FINANCE: Thaxton made a motion to purchase QuickBooks for the treasurer to use, seconded by D. Page. Roll call vote: Mendenhall — yea, Paul — yea, Thaxton — yea,
D. Page — yea, T. Paige — yea. Motion passed.
PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY: The attorney will send three letters to residents that are in violation of Municipal Ordinances.
STREETS & ALLEYS: Paul made a motion to approve a resolution to be sent to Illinois Department of Transportation requesting funds from the Motor Fuel Fund for
expenses on the streets. Roll call vote: Mendenhall — yea, Paul — yea, Thaxton — yea, D. Page — yea, T. Paige — yea. Motion passed.
PARK & BOULEVARD: There are too many leaves in the park to mulch. They will be hauled away to be burned.
SIDEWALKS: T. Page said there were two bids received on replacing the sidewalk near the school on South Street by the baseball field. Mendenhall made a motion to
accept the bid from Dale Anders Concrete and Construction to tear out and replace that sidewalk, seconded by T. Paige. Roll call vote: Mendenhall — yea, Paul — yea,
Thaxton — yea, D. Page — yea, T. Paige — yea. Motion passed.
RECYCLING: Paul said in 2012, there will be a fine on electronics disposed in the trash.
TREES: Some trees have limbs hanging down over the streets that will be trimmed.
Thaxton made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mendenhall. Motion passed.
