Two Williamsville schools earn Bright Star awards
Sherman Elementary School and Williamsville High School have been honored with the Bright Star Award of Excellence, as chosen by

Superintendent Dave Root is understandably proud of the accomplishment.
“We are extremely fortunate to work with such dedicated and highly motivated students,” said Root. “Despite the funding issues seen
throughout our state, we continually work to provide an extremely strong educational environment for our students with outstanding teachers
and educational resources.
“Our student success is a direct result of the support of our parents and the value our community places on the importance of education,”
he added. “Excellence is a tradition in our district that has become the norm, consequently I am extremely proud of our continual student
successes.”.
