Hayley Long threw her second straight no-hitter Tuesday, leading the Williamsville Lady Bee Bees
junior high softball team to a 5-0 win over Pleasant Plains in the Williamsville Regional final.
Long struck out 13 and walked one; there was also a runner because of an error.
The Lady Bee Bees scored all the runs they would need in the first, with a four-spot.
Brandi Donnelly singled and went to second on a wild pitch, then Leah Levin was safe on a fielder’s
choice.
A two-base error allowed Donnelly to score and Emma Havrilka to reach, then Sydney Dees’ fielder’s
choice bunt plated Levin.
Long and Jordan French then both had run-scoring grounders.
Ashley Engle reached on an error in the top of the second, but that was the only Plains runner until the
sixth, when Abby Kulavic worked a two-out walk.
Levin doubled to the fence in the bottom of the second but was stranded.
Dees doubled to start the third, but she was also left on.
Jenna Bailey walked to begin the fourth, then Emily Capranica was safe on an error before Donnelly
singled in Bailey.
Capranica had a single in the sixth.
Williamsville will play Saturday in the Stanford Olympia Sectional; the opponent will be either Clinton or
Olympia, who were supposed to play Wednesday.

In the regional opener Monday, Long struck out five in a 6-0 win over Athens. Only a leadoff error in the
seventh precluded Long from a perfect game.
Levin had three hits (two runs), as did Havrilka (run, RBI). Dees (run) and French (run, RBI) had two hits,
while Donnelly (run), Brooke Keenan (RBI) and Capranica all had one hit. Long plated a run.

Long (two runs) all added two hits.
Dees (two runs, two RBI), French (run) and Bailey (two RBI) all finished with one hit, and Keenan had
one RBI.
