Hawks down Bee Bees
  The host Riverton Hawks middle school baseball team broke a 1-1 tie with a four-run sixth to beat the Williamsville Bee Bees 5-1 last Thursday.
Brady Crowe allowed only four hits and one walk while fanning nine for the win.
  Riverton scored in the first, on a Crowe RBI, then the Bee Bees knotted the score in the third when Drew Keenan reached on an error and scored on a Dayton Edwards double.
  Keenan also had a triple and Talon File a single for the only two other WJH hits.
  In the decisive sixth, Sean Nation, Zak Merchant, Cody Campbell and Jordan Fisher had RBI.
  Daniel Camp had two hits and scored twice for the Hawks, while Crowe also had two hits and scored a run. Nation had two hits and Devin Hillen dented the plate once.

  The Hawks ripped Athens 17-5 Aug. 25 behind a 20-hit offensive barrage.
  RMS scored in every inning but the second.
  Camp and Merchant (four RBI) both had four hits, and Crowe and Devin Hillen added three hits and Michael Shriver chipped in two hits.
  Nation got the win on the mound.

  Friday, the Hawks trekked to Mason City and came home with a 9-1 triumph.
  Shriver went the distance for his first win, fanning 10.
  Jonathan Shoup collected three hits, and Ryan Roscetti and Camp both contributed two hits.

  Playing for the sixth day in a row, Riverton lost 10-0 to Rochester Saturday. Camp, Hillen and Shoup had the hits.

  Monday, the Hawks lost to Warrensburg, leaving 11 runners on base. Nation had two of the Hawks’ four hits.
