7th annual Sweet Corn Pageant set July 15
The 7th annual Miss Chatham Sweet Corn Pageant will be held Friday, July 15, from 5-6 p.m. at the Chatham Sweet Corn Festival at
Community Park.
The winner will receive a $500 scholarship, with other prizes donated by local businesses.
The Miss Photogenic competition will be underway this week and next, with the public able to vote. Pictures will be displayed at
United Community Bank in Chatham. Patti Kaylor of PKnJ Media has donated the pictures.
Contestants will be selling 50/50 tickets for $1 each until July 15. The girl who sells the most will receive a cash prize. There are eight
contestants this year, and all will be judged on their poise, interview skills and involvement in the community.
Tori Falter, the 2010 Miss Chatham Sweet Corn Pageant winner, has dedicated this past year to attending other fairs and festivals.
She has helped promote the Chatham Jaycees and volunteered in the community.
This year's contestants are all students at Glenwood High School. They are: Abigail Petersen, Abigail Schulze, Alexis Sisk, Ali
