Superintendent search down to 2 candidates
The Ball-Chatham Board of Education has narrowed its list of candidates for the Superintendent position to two finalists.
Both of the candidates are from Illinois, school board president Jim Neuses told the Clarion, but no other information was released.
Earlier this month, the board interviewed a semifinal list of seven candidates, each of whom was from Illinois as well.
Now, the two finalists will be interviewed on Dec. 12 by a combination of school board members and other faculty, PTO and
community members as chosen by the board.
The board is expected to announce in January who will be named as the next Superintendent of the Ball-Chatham School District.
That person will officially assume his or her new duties on July 1, 2012, when current superintendent Bob Gillum retires.
Issue Date: Dec. 1, 2011
