Ball-Chatham school registration set Aug. 5

The Ball-Chatham School District will conduct registration for the 2010-11 school year Thursday,
Aug. 5, at all five district school buildings.
Registration at Glenwood Middle and Glenwood High School will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
and student pictures will also be taken.
Registration at Ball Elementary, Chatham Elementary and Glenwood Intermediate schools will be
held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
•Book rental fees are: Grades K-5, $100; Grades 6-12, $115.
•Parking fee (grades 9-12), $25.
•Athletic fee (grades 6-12), $75 (first sport), $25 (second sport). $100 maximum per student; $250
maximum per family.
•Breakfast and lunch prices - Breakfast (K-12), $1.15; Lunch (K-5), $1.80; Lunch (6-8), $1.90;
Lunch (9-12), A-la-Carte; milk $.30; reduced breakfast $.30; reduced lunch $.40.
•Parents interested in purchasing school insurance may pick up an insurance form at any school
building during registration.
•Any student entering Kindergarten, 6th grade or 9th grades must have a physical examination on
file before the first day of school, which is August 18. Immunizations must be up-to-date also.
•Those enrolling their child for the first time in District #5 will need to bring a certified copy of their
child's birth certificate, current physical exam, updated immunization records and proof of residency.

•The first day of school will be Wednesday, Aug 18, which will be an early dismissal day. Classes
will dismiss at 11:10 a.m. (Chatham, Ball and GIS) and 11:30 (GMS and GHS).
•Regular bell schedules for each school building are: Ball/Chatham Elementary (8:10-3:05),
Glenwood Intermediate (8:10-3:10), Glenwood Middle (8:10-3:19) and Glenwood High (8:00-2:55).
The first day of the week start time at GHS is 8:30.
