CS8 All-Conference and All-Academic teams
     The Central State Eight Conference has announced its Fall 2009 All-Conference and All-
Academic teams.
     •In boys cross country, Glenwood finished second at the CS8 meet to Springfield High.  Seniors
Brian Dixon and  Luke Harness were named to the all-conference team, while Marc Maton, Michael
Zink, Ryan Anderson and Connor Jones received special mention.
     Named to the all-academic team from Glenwood were: Harness, Jones, Aaron Enteman, Pat
Gray, Karl Medina, Collin Marcotte, Brandon Kuchar and Suraj Arshanapally.
     •In girls cross country, Glenwood finished third at the CS8 meet, behind SHG and Springfield
High.  Freshman Lindsay Rogers and senior Lauren Aydt were named to the all-conference team,
while senior Lindsey Koch received special mention.
     Named to the all-academic team from Glenwood were: Aydt, Koch, Eryn Sullivan, Rylie Sullivan,
Katherine Alexander, Nicole Alexander, Nicholle Hamman and Cristina Martinez-Singh.
     •In football, Glenwood finished second in the CS8 with a 6-1 record, while SHG was 7-0.  Named
to the all-conference team from Glenwood were: seniors Caleb Cox, Carter Cox, John Hagemann,
Jake Ingold and Jared Turner, along with juniors Jake Wienhoff and Devin VonNordheim-Moore.
     Receiving special mention were: Tom Cooper, Brian Cruse, Zeke Danna, Tony Giovannelli,
Jeremy Hack, Raz Harris, Zach Joos, Dan Panzardi, Dan Ramsden and Tyler Sowards.
     Named to the all-academic team were: Ethan Adams, Jon Barrows, Brandon Bradley, Scott
Clifford, Carter Cox, Caleb Cox, Michael Fiaush, Joey Giovannelli, Hagemann, Kramer Halverson,
Josh Hobson, Ethan Hochstein, Ingold, Joos, Panzardi, Nigel Range, Austin Stoll and Wienhoff.
     •In boys golf, Glenwood finished third at the CS8 meet, behind SHG and Springfield High.  
Seniors Sean Otten and Charlie Arentzen were named to the all-conference team, along with
sophomore Josh Giganti.  Junior Zane Carmean received special mention.  Arentzen, Carmean,
Spencer Dunnington and Mitch Kunzeman each were named to the all-academic team.
     •In girls golf, Glenwood tied for second at the CS8 meet with Springfield High, eight strokes
behind SHG.  Senior Clare Arentzen earned medalist honors and was named to the all-conference
team.  Arentzen and Ashleigh O'Reilly were named to the all-academic team.
     •In boys soccer, Glenwood finished third in the CS8 with a 5-2 mark, behind SHS and SHG, who
both were at 6-1.  Senior Jack Graves was named to the all-conference team, along with juniors
Santiago Cabrera, Alex Klintworth and Devin Pettis.  Junior Chapin Richards and sophomore Connor
Carnduff received special mention.
     Named to the all-academic team were: Tim Burch, Cabrera, Graves, Klintworth, Andrew Koch,
Chad Long, Joe Martin and Tommy McVey.
     •In girls swimming and diving, Glenwood finished second at the CS8 meet to SHG.  Seniors
Lindsey Rayhill and Haley Lanser were named to the all-conference team, along with junior Katie
McEvoy.  Receiving special mention were: Ali Drennan, Kailey Lewis, Lauren Mueller, Angela
Gebauer, Marissa Stafford, Elizabeth Schmideler, Maya Habibi and Tara Habibi.
     Named to the all-academic team were: Sarah Evans, Gebauer, Tara Habibi, Alyssa Jimerson,
Lanser, Lewis, McEvoy, Rayhill, Stafford and Janie Trask.
     •In girls tennis, Glenwood finished fourth at the CS8 meet, behind SHS, SHG and Lincoln.    
Seniors Nikki Hull, Kaitlyn Miller and Catherine Weitzel were named to the all-academic team, along
with junior Janasha Prabhu.
     •In volleyball, Glenwood tied for third in the CS8 with Springfield High at 5-2, while Lincoln and
Jacksonville tied for first at 6-1.  Named to the all-conference team were senior Meaghan Fischer and
junior Tori Falter, while seniors Jenna Taft and Abby Cress, along with sophomore Shea Elmore,
received special mention.
     Named to the all-academic team were: Falter, Fischer, Courtney Kliment, Ashley McGrath and
Courtney Rayhill.
