Glenwood Summer Sports Camps
The Glenwood Summer Sports Camps are designed to give boys and girls of all levels, beginner to
advanced, the opportunity to develop their individual skills under the guidance and direction of the
Glenwood High School coaching staff.
Sign-ups for each camp are encouraged before May 15, and entries received after May 30 are
subject to late fees. Contact the Glenwood High School Athletic Office for a registration form. A
synopsis of each camp being offered is as follows:
•The Boys Basketball Camp for grades 3-8 will be held June 2-5, with the Basketball Academy
being held Mondays and Wednesdays from June 16 to July 9. The grades 3-5 Camp and Academy
will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by grades 6-8 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The Camp and Academy will be held at the GHS West Gym, with the $100 fee including both.

•The Girls Basketball Camp will be held June 9-13 for grades 3-8. Girls in grades 3-5 will have
camp from 8 to 9:30 a.m. each day, followed by grades 6-8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the GHS West
Gym. Cost is $50. Contact Mark Lash at 483-2424 with questions.
•The Cheerleading Camp will be held July 14-17 for grades 1-8 from 9 a.m. to noon in the GHS
Commons. The $50 fee includes a cheer camp t-shirt. Contact coaches Kristen Stroh or Debbie
Sprague (241-2321) with questions.
•The Co-ed Distance Running Camp for grades 5-8 will be held June 2-4 from 8 to 10 a.m. each day
at the GHS track. The fee is $50. Contact Mike Johnson at 691-9434 with questions.
•The Football Camp will be held June 9-13 for grades 2-8 at the Glenwood High practice fields. For
grades 6-8, camp will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. each day, followed by the grades 2-5 camp from 10:30
a.m. to noon each day. Contact Dan Rourke at 483-2424 with questions.
•The Co-ed Golf Camp for grades K-12 will be held July 9, 11 and 18 at Piper Glen Golf Club. The
camp includes a nine hole parent/junior scramble on July 18. Fee is $100 per camper. Contact

•The Co-ed Pole Vault Camp for grades 6-8 will be held June 2-4 from 8 to 10 a.m. each day at the
GHS track. The fee is $60. Contact Len Onken at 483-2424 with questions.
•The Soccer Co-ed Camp for grades K-8 and freshman girls will be held June 16-19 at the GHS
soccer fields. Times are 8:30-11 a.m. for grades K-5, and 1 to 3:30 p.m. for grades 6-8 and
freshman girls. The fee is $60. Contact Jay Lipe at 483-1183 with questions.
•The Co-ed Swimming Camp will be held for grades 3-8 on June 16-20 at Panther Creek Country
Club from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each day. The fee is $100. Contact Kara Bryant (899-3022) or Jenni
Baldin (622-3682) with questions. This camp is not a lessons program; each swimmer must be
able to swim one full length of a 25-yard pool both freestyle and backstroke without stopping.
•The Co-ed Tennis Camp for ages 8-18 will be held June 3-26 (Tuesdays and Thursdays only) at
the GHS tennis courts. There will be both a Novice/Beginner Camp and a High School Camp being
offered.
The Novice/Beginner Camp will be held in both morning and afternoon sessions, with the High
School Camp from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Fees are $100 for the Beginner Camp and $150 for the High

•The Co-ed Track and Field Camp will be held June 23-26 for ages 6-11. For ages 6-8, times are 8
to 9:30 a.m. each day, followed by ages 9-11 from 9:45 to 11 a.m. The camp will be held at the GHS

•The Volleyball Camp for grades 3-8 will be held at GHS. For grades 3-4, the camp will be held May
28-29 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. each day. For grades 5-8, camp will be June 2-5. For grades 5-6, times
are 8 to 10 a.m. each day. For 7th grade, times are 10 a.m. to noon; and for 8th grade, times are 2 to
4 p.m. The fee is $50 for grades 3-4, and $75 for grades 5-8. Contact Larry Sample at 370-6558
