
Boys track team takes third at Metamora
The Glenwood High School boys track team took third place out of 12 teams at last weekend's
Metamora Invite, which was held at Eureka High School.
The Titans finished first in three events - 110 high hurdles, 800 meter run and 1600 frosh/soph
relay. Mike Ranos claimed the 110 hurdles in 15.7 seconds, just ahead of teammate John
Hagemann, who took second in 16.4.
Greg Staley claimed the 800 meter run in 1:59.9, and the frosh/soph relay team of Hagemann,
Carter Cox, Greg Garrett and Tony Giovannelli took first place in 3:40.8.
Normal Community won the team title with 141 points, followed by Galesburg (94.5), Glenwood (86)
and Metamora (85.5). Full Glenwood results are as follows:

Coming up, the Titans will travel to the Lanphier Capital Track Classic Saturday, followed by a

18. Senior Night has been set for Thursday, April 24, against SHG and Taylorville.
