Parts of Gordon to remain closed
through September
Work on South Gordon Drive in Chatham will not be completed
through at least September, Village Engineer Jay Jessen of Greene
and Bradford told the Clarion. Work on the larger box culvert is
nearing completion.  When that is done, Gordon will be open from
Spruce Street to the south.   But the second part of the project
involves a smaller culvert being placed to the north, which will close
Gordon from just north of Spruce to south of Ramblewood through at
least September. Jessen said there are utility issues involved as
well with the second part of the project.  If the weather cooperates
and no further snags are hit, the entire project should be completed
by the end of September. Work on the first box culvert should be
completed within the next couple of weeks, he added. (From Aug. 5,
