Attention Auburn Senior Citizens
Auburn Daily Bread would like to clarify recent announcements concerning Senior Services of Central Illinois  and the Daily
Bread Program.
The Daily Bread Program is not closed. It continues to serve meals to the Auburn homebound/disabled clients. However, on
Wednesday, meal delivery from Springfield will not come because Senior Services is closed. The Tuesday delivery will bring
enough food for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Wednesday closures are due to lack of payments from the State of Illinois. Daily Bread is a federally funded program and
will continue to ensure that our homebound seniors have a hot meal five days a week.
Daily Bread currently does not have an Auburn congregate site due to lack of participants.  If enough seniors are interested it
could be restarted someday.
If you know of someone who is 60 and cannot prepare themselves a nutritious meal, please contact Auburn Daily Bread at
741-4222 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The suggested donation is $3 per meal. For those who are unable to make this donation, any donation is appreciated. All
services and donations are kept confidential. Please do not go hungry, Auburn Daily Bread is here for you.
Donations of washable, garden fresh fruit and vegetables are appreciated. Call 741-4222 for more details.
